Is this a sane way to re-cycle our Waste?
Extracting useful materials from discarded electrical equipment is fine, but…
Surely there has to be a better way than this?
Some people’s idea of re-cycling the materials in electronic and electrical equipment is to send it out to a third world country, where they burn it to get the scraps of copper and other metals out of the debris.
Not only failing to extract much useful material, but also polluting the atmosphere and groundwater, and ruining the health of the operators. Can’t we do better than this?
